Who We Are

Carmen Spurling – CAREgiver Outreach Director

Carmen Spurling started with the CAREgiver Outreach program in November 2018.  Prior to this position, she worked as the Regional Manager for the Long Term Services and Supports division of the Department of Human Services for almost eight years.  Carmen has seen firsthand how the issues facing caregivers can cause frustration, fatigue, and additional health issues.  She strives to provide support and education to those serving as unpaid caregivers to empower them to continue in their role as long as possible.

Becca Pound – CAREgiver Case Manager

Prior to her position as Caregiver Case Manager, Becca Pound had 5+ years’ experience in the nursing home setting as a Life Enrichment Director and Volunteer Coordinator. During this time she had experiences with hospice care, palliative care, social work and so much more. She is a people person who enjoys getting to know the caregivers who she is lucky enough to get to work with in order to meet their psychosocial needs. She takes pride in offering support groups, one on one sessions and educational resources, finding that offering this type education and support has a significant overall positive effect on Caregivers during their journey.
